Transfer within dodo accounts is absolutely free. Funding your dodo account will attract bank charges. Any fees will be displayed in the app at the time of transaction.

Breakdown:

• Buy airtime – No additional charges. You get 2% cash back rewards on every recharge.
• Pay bill – You get up to 2% cash back rewards on every bill payment.
• Send Money – A fixed N50.00 convenience fee is charged for each successful transaction, however, transfer between dodo to dodo accounts has 0 fees with no hidden charges.
• Receive Money – At no cost to the recipient.
• Card Funding – Bank charges apply.
• Transfers to virtual bank account- No additional charges.

To create a Dodo account, just download the app from either Google play store or App store and follow the quick registration steps. You will need a valid Nigerian phone number to sign up.

Your account number is the same as the phone number used in registering your account.

You can fund your Dodo account with any Nigerian bank issued Debit card.

Another option is a Dodo Virtual Bank Account issued to you after you must have verified your Dodo account.

You can transfer funds to your VBA and access the fund instantly in your dodo account.

Unverified accounts are limited. You can lift this limit by verifying your account. It takes less than 2 minutes to get your account verified.

Are there any limits on dodo transactions?
*Daily Transactions: You can spend up to N500,000 daily with your dodo verified account.
*Funding accounts: Adding funds to your account using a bank card have a cap of N100,000 per transaction. It is recommended to use your virtual bank account to fund your dodo account as it comes with no extra charges and has no transfer cap.

Yes you can make dodo to dodo transfer, bank transfer and mobile money payments to recipient of other countries.

It takes 2-3 working days for a recipient in Ghana to receive money in their local bank. However, if it exceeds this number of days, contact our support team. 

Be patient; it might be due to a network issue. There might also be a delay in processing times which depends mainly on the recipient’s bank. 

Transfer to mobile wallets in Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, and Rwanda are instant. Where there is a delay, it takes a maximum of an hour to get to the recipient. Our customer support is always available to assist if you encounter any problem.

Transfer to a local bank in South Africa is not instant and takes 2-3 working days to reach the recipient. 

When you transfer to local banks in any of these countries, it takes 3-5 working days for the recipient to receive the money in their bank accounts.

To verify your account, go to your account setting page, scroll down to the verification section and click on the blue icon. You will need your BVN and a selfie with your Identity card to complete the verification.

For your account to be fully verified, you must have complete all required checks. Email, Valid Residential Address, at least added one bank account.

Please note that it is important you memorize or write down the “SECRET WORD” you chose during registration, as you will need it to reset your pin code.

To recover your lost pin;

• Click on forgot password
• Enter your dodo registered phone number 
• Enter your secret word 
• Enter the OTP sent to your phone number and create a new pin.

NOTE: An account will automatically be suspended after three unsuccessful login attempts. You can unlock an account by clicking “forgot password” and following the steps listed above.

Your secret word is a very important feature of your account security and should be kept unknown to others. If you forget your pin, your secret word can be used to recover your account.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover your secret word.

Yes. you should be at least 16 years old to open an account.

Yes you can. Simply;

• Click on the Settings icon tab 
• Click on the “+” sign on the “Bank account” section 
• The new screen will require the details of the new bank account
• Enter correctly and click on ‘Add account’.

To qualify for loans, build your credit score Simply by using Dodopay regularly. You build your credit score when you complete your KYC verification, use the app regularly for bill payments and perform dodo to dodo transfers. Track your credit score by clicking on the loan tab on the app. The higher your credit score, the better your chances.

You need to consider the amount you wish to request and your preferred repayment period to ascertain your interest rate. Depending on these factors, the daily interest rate is 0.25%

When you pay your loan on time, you get an increase in your credit score of up to 70%, which means you don’t have to start from 0% to build a new credit score. In other words, when you pay your loans on time, access to loans becomes easier.

Navigate to rewards screen, then tap on the CLAIM Button and insert the invite code of your referral.

• Go to the home screen
• Click on rewards
• You will find your 7-digit invite/referral code. You can refer your friends and get your bonus instantly.

Step1. Open the Dodopay app and login with the correct details.

Step2. Locate “Rewards” on the top left menu and click on it.

Step3. There you see “Bonus” and after that click on claim button and insert the referrer code of your invite.

NOTE: If this message “error cashing out” appears then it means customers has not been verified, as only verified users can claim bonus. 

Step 4. Your referrer bonus of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N250) moves to your total earnings immediately.

There are two ways to earn rewards on dodo.

1. Earn by paying bills with dodo: Whenever you use dodo to pay bills like; airtime top up, buy internet data, TV subscriptions & electricity top up, you get up to 2% cash back rewards. 
2. Refer and earn: Refer friends to Dodo and earn N250 on each referral.
3. Sign up bonus:  Every new user gets a sign up bonus of N500

Your rewards can be cashed out when your rewards run up to N5,000 or more.

OTP is a “One-Time Password” which is randomly generated and sent to your registered mobile number and for validation of your mobile number. This is to provide an enhanced level of security on Dodo. You should be able to get this code within 5 minutes. Ensure that your mobile number is correctly entered. If waiting time exceeds 5 minutes contact support.

Be patient as it could be a bank network issue or delays from the service provider, if issues persists after 24 hours contact support. We would be glad to help.

I transferred money from my Dodo account to my bank account but I am yet to receive the funds in my bank account. What do I do?

Dodo to bank transfer is usually instant but sometimes due to inter bank delays, this might take longer than expected. If you are yet to receive your funds after 24 hours, please contact support via [email protected] 

This almost never happens as it would be a case of incorrect pin or recovery details, but in an imaginative situation please contact support via [email protected] and we will do our best to aid you.

This can only happen due to incorrect phone number entry or network provider issues with getting your OTP. Please exercise a little patience as the OTP delivery may vary in time. Contact us via [email protected] if it persists.
